My affinity for Astronomy, Space Sciences, Biology and clinical research started when I was around 4-5 years old. I graduated from Anadolu University Biology Department at 2007; and completed a Masters in Molecular Biology and Genetics in Istanbul Technical University. I worked on rare brain disorders and cortical development at Boston Children’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School as a research assistant for 2.5 years. Currently, I am continuing research on neuroregeneration (also focusing some of my attention to bioastronautics) as a PhD candidate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My experience at ISU SPP09 made all the subsequent steps in my life more meaningful and possible in so many ways.
