Judicial Academy Conducts 2-Day Program on Financial Management, PFMS – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

SRINAGAR, October 18: The J&K Judicial Academy held a special two-day program on “Financial Management, Preparation of Tax and Budget Documents, Use of E-Commerce Platforms, Public Financial Management System (PFMS ), taxation, financial record keeping and auditing” which started today, in physical and virtual mode, for AOs, High Court nazirs and subordinate courts of UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The program was organized by J&K Judicial Academy under the patronage of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh & Patron-in-Chief, J&K Judicial Academy; and under the guidance of Judge Sindhu Sharma, Chairman of the J&K Judicial Academy Governing Board; J&K Judicial Academy Steering Committee members Justice Javed Iqbal Wani and Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal are also under the overall supervision of J&K Judicial Academy Director Shahzad Azeem.
Haroon Ahmed, FA/CAO, J&K and Ladakh High Court, and Adil Ahmad, Technical Support Engineer, PFMS, J&K Branch, Srinagar were the program resource persons. Swati Gupta, OSD, J&K Judicial Academy moderated the program.
In the first technical session on the first day of the special training program, Haroon Ahmed deliberated on the concept of General Financial Rules (GFR) and financial management to manage an organization’s finances in a financially prudent manner.
He also discussed the methods of preparing the tax and budget document for effective management of expenses in the organization.
In the following technical sessions, Adil Ahmad described the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) as a central banking solution interface that effectively facilitates online validation of beneficiary bank details. It highlighted all the technical concepts relating to payments made through the PFMS.
