SBDC will organize a series of workshops on financial management

September 28—The Butte College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a series of workshops on “Financial Management of Existing Businesses” beginning next week.

“This four-week series is designed to teach you how to use your financial statements to better manage and understand your business operations, cash flow and profitability,” read a statement released by SBDC.

According to the release, the series of workshops will cover several topics, including interpreting and understanding your financial statements; practical exercise and case study; identify the cash cycle and its impact on your business; learn to calculate and use financial ratios to troubleshoot tax hazards and analyze trends to improve business performance; use financial tools to make good business decisions for effective spending and break-even analysis; knowing how to be critical when looking at prices and costs; and developing forecasting and budgeting tools and techniques to improve profits.

The workshop will be held at Butte College-Glenn County Center, 1366 Cortina Drive, Orland, from 9-11 a.m. each Wednesday in October.

The workshop is free but pre-registration is required.
